Overview
What we do
Our manufacturing division is arranged to make high-precision or high-volume parts with uncompromising quality. Engineering, machining, special processes, inspection and testing happen under one roof in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
The same team machines parts for APS's own propeller overhauls, so tolerances, finishes and paperwork follow aerospace practice from the first article.
From drawing to delivery
- Engineering support and first-article inspection
- 3- and 5-axis CNC milling and 7-axis Swiss turning
- Special processes: anodize, chrome, hard alloy, corrosion-resistant coatings
- EDM, heat treating and laser part marking
- Roll-formed threads, burnishing and brush plating
- CMM measurement and Level 3 NDT before release

- Programme CNC programming and fixturing.
- Machine Milling and turning on 3-, 5- and 7-axis equipment.
- Finish Special processes and part marking.
- Inspect CMM measurement and nondestructive testing.
